Recipes Needed For Recipe Book

I am sure most of our friends and family know that we are in the processing of putting together a recipe book, the deadline was December 31st. But we have extended it to January 15th; if you plan on putting a recipe in the book please get it to us ASAP. Because we would like to get the book printed and ready to start selling it by April.

We are currently in the process of working on a recipe book to sell, with all the profits going to Intervarsity. We are looking for recipes from you, the people that Mike shared his life with and touched. We are asking you to share with us a recipe and a brief story (50-100 words) on how Mike touched your life. If you don’t want to share a story you can still send us a recipe or two. You can mail it to me or email it to:
mikeswishes@gmail.com

We would like to do a chili section if we get enough recipes, since Mike loved his Chili. He could eat more chili in a setting than anyone I know of, way more than I could. I would always ask him where are you putting that.

Thanks for everyone that alreadly submitted recipes.

Missing Mike-Our First Christmas WIthout Him

We miss him very much, but life must go on. He would want us to all be happy, and not upset or depressed. I hope all of our and Mike's friends and family have A Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year.

My First Christmas in Heaven (~anonymous)

I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below
With tiny lights, like Heavenʼs stars, reflecting on the snow.
The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away that tearFor I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dearBut the sounds of music canʼt compare with the choir they have up here.
I have no words to tell you, the joy their voices bring,For it is beyond description, to hear the angels sing.

I know how much you miss me, the pain in your heart. But I am not so far away, We really arenʼt apart.
So have a Merry Christmas and wipe away that tearRemember, I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.
