2017 Event

It is hard to believe tomorrow, with be 9 years. Our sweet son, a gift from God, taken way to soon. This year will be our 8th year we have put on a fundraiser in Mikes name. We want to thank everyone that have supported us by donating time, donating auction items, bakery and supporting the event. Without everyone's help, we would have never made it this far, and continue to do so. This years MJC Memorial Craft fair is on October 27th & 28th. We look forward to seeing you at this years event.

It's time to party

It's official Michael's Helping Hands, Foundation just received confirmation we are now a 501c3 organization. It took about 14 months to be approved, it is one happy day.

Mike Chaloupka Scholarship

It's official, Mike Chaloupka scholarship. I think it will happen this year, I thought it wouldn't happen until 2015. It was a joy working with the staff at UW Whitewater, to make our dream a reality. A portion of the letter received, thank you for continuing to inspire exellence in our students by changing the award in Mike's name into a scholarship. It has been a joy getting to know you, Julie, and through the stores you and Jenny shared, getting to know Mike through this process. We are delighted to have The Michael Chaloupka Scholarship. Annual Fundraiser

Coming up in just a few short weeks, is our annual fundraiser. MJC Memorial Craft Fair at CornerStone Church N6 W31229 Alberta Drive, Delafield, WI., Sept. 20 & 21. We are in need of a few volunteers for September 21st, from 2-?, to help with all the clean up. If you can help please let us know. Foundation Update

Update status on our foundation in Mike Chaloupka's name. The foundation name is, Michael's Helping Hands, Foundation. Name is registered and now the waiting game for the government to approve it. Already getting junk mail, that did not take long. It is hard to believe, that almost 5 years ago that we would have a foundation in his name. Can't wait for it to be approved, we will then be able to donate to a few great causes, that Mike loved. Also working on a website, facebook page, and our yearly fundraiser.

Foundation for Mike

The first step is finalized in starting our own foundation for Mike Chaloupka, our beloved son. Michael's Helping Hands Foundation, Inc, I want to send a big thank you for Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, for helping us. We just decided it was time to take the big step. Watch for a website, coming soon for The Foundation.

Donations

I am in the process of working on getting donations for the silent auction. So far we have gotten donations from Circus World, Comedy Sportz, and UWM Panthers (2 shirts and a backpack). My goal is to work on getting more donations, from new places.

Nonprofit 501c3 for MJC Memorial

We are busy working on nonproft status 501c3. Our next step is setting up our board of directors. If you are interested in being on the board, please let us know. Thanks to a friend for suggested us go to non profit center in Milwaukee, for help.

2013 MJC Memorial Craft Fair

We just received the first application from a vendor for this years show. The applications will go out within the next week. The applications are also available online http://creativetouchcrafts.net/craftfair.html

Donations

The craft fair we held in honor of Mike Chaloupka. I would like to thank all the shoppers, shoppers, and a craft vendors that helped make this a success. We were able to donate $1400.00 to Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. Next year Intervarsity is working on building a walkway for individuals in a wheelchair, at Cedar Campus in Michigan. With funds we have raised over the last 4 years. We are already planning for next years event, in the same location.

Now that this years event is over, we are already planning for next year. The dates for next years MJC Memorial Craft Fair is September 20-21. We are still collecting money from the silent auction. I hope by the end of this month, we have everything wrapped up. Thanks to everyone that helped out in one way or another.

This years craft fair is well underway, with only about 2 weeks away. Mike's Garden
